The Government of India is undertaking through EBSB (Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat) program is attempting to build empathy and strengthen people-to-people connect among the youth of different states/ UTs of the country. This is being undertaken as ‘Yuva Sangam’. Youth from various states will visit identified HEIs in the paired states for a 5-8 days period in which they will get an immersive experience of various facets of the state they are visiting, and interact with the local youth. The maximum no. of youths selected for one such visit will be 50. During their visits, the youth will get multi-dimensional exposure to five broad areas – Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Prodyogik (Technology), and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect). In addition to this, various interactions with industrial bodies like FICCI, CII, etc.; interactions at Raj Bhawan, CM office, interactions with MSMEs, startup entrepreneurs, artists, singers, sportspersons, musicians, SHGs, NGOs, etc. will enrich their overall experience.
Yuva Sangam Phase –I had 900 youth visiting different states. Phase – II will happen in the months of April – May 2023. For phase II, Bihar has been paired with Tamil Nadu. Students between the age of 18-30 years will be selected and sent to Tamil Nadu. IIT Patna is the coordinating institute for Bihar and NIT Trichy is the coordinating institute for Tamil Nadu.
